Founded in 1986, A.U.G. Signals Ltd. (AUG) has been dedicated to excellence in signal, image and data processing for over three decades. AUG provides superior solutions in signal, image and data processing (e.g. detection, recognition, tracking) for applications primarily in:

  • Safety, Security & Surveillance
  • Air/Water Quality Monitoring
  • Earth Observation
  • Intelligent Transport Systems

As a Business Development Officer at AUG with a focus on public relations and digital marketing, you will be responsible to:

  • Perform quality assurance on business writings, including but not limited to proposals (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, etc.), project reports and marketing materials
  • Lead the business development team in creating and producing marketing materials, including press release, brochure, flyer, presentations, etc.
  • Assist in arranging and attending events (conferences, workshops, etc), meetings with clients, government, partners, etc.
  • Respond to media inquiries and acts as a company spokesperson when necessary
  • Assist in preparing key messages, presentations, speaking notes, and handouts to ensure maximum effectiveness and consistency with strategic priorities
  • Monitor and manage social media, including Twitter, LinkedIn and company websites

Required Skills:

  • Diploma or degree (business, public relations or communications) coupled with a minimum of 2+ years of professional experience preferably working in a relevant business development and/or public relations role
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and writing briefing materials, news releases, backgrounders, Q&A, speeches and other communication tools
  • Demonstrated excellence in verbal communication; public speaking and negotiation skills are musts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience preparing responses to RFP/RFIs, customized pitch writings, and presentations
  • Experience in government affairs and/or in a role within a government ministry/department is an asset
  • Ability to effectively deliver quality work with a sense of urgency and a high degree of attention to detail
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage tight deadlines and competing priorities
  • Good judgment, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Willingness to travel
