Education: Diploma in Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical/Electronics Engineering. (Preferred) bachelor’s degree.

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 12 months contract (possible extension into a full-time permanent position).

About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Product Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities

  • Testing, assembling, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining water quality instrumentation and monitoring/control systems.
  • Perform duties such as quality assurance and testing as required with a high level of quality.
  • Utilizes process documentations such as but not limited to the following: BOM’s, Debug, testing tools, manuals, and ISO quality control documents.
  • Identifying products that fail the testing, and ensure they are adequately labelled and routed to the further processing.
  • Working with our design and production team to determine common failure modes and support troubleshooting or process improvement as required.
  • Create and test product prototypes.
  • Provide online and onsite customer support.
  • Able to be very hands-on, and actively involved with other team members in making decisions.
  • Other duties as assigned and/or assist with the team-members as needed.

Technical Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of sensor instrumentation and control principles and design.
  • Experience in hardware is required.
  • General troubleshooting for manufacturing failures is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work with / read, interpret, and follow detailed technical documentation and guidance.
  • Experience with product manufacturing or assembly highly preferred
  • General competence with technology and using computers.
  • High attention to details and concentration on tasks.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in product manufacturing or relevant field.
  • Diploma in Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical/Electronics Engineering. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license in Ontario
