AUG Signals has developed unique techniques that allow to efficiently and accurately survey large and poorly accessible areas for oil, gas and mineral deposits using hyperspectral technology.

Large Animal Detection and Traffic Monitoring System

LADS is a first of its kind, wildlife detection system designed to provide advance warning to motorists of the presence of large animals on rural highways. Its innovative design ensures robust detection and continuous monitoring capabilities, runs entirely on solar power, requires minimal disturbance to the pre-existing environment, and operates efficiently under harsh weather conditions.

LADS is truly an innovation in the industry. It is able to do what no other system has done before: reliably and effectively detect large animals on highways, 24/7. Compared to break-the-beam animal detection systems and other area coverage systems, LADS provides much more reliable large animal detections because LADS’ unique 360-degree coverage radars and proprietary large animal tracking software allow for all-weather accurate detection and continuous monitoring of the large animals anywhere within the monitored area.

AUG has unique air and water monitoring technology that features superior signal processing and multi-source data fusion techniques that are paramount in order to yield most accurate sensor information and synthesize all available data streams.

A.U.G. Signals Ltd. (AUG) was originally founded as a Security and Defence R&D company, with most of our technologies having been applied to, and validated by, various military systems. Key applications include maritime surveillance, battlefield situation assessment, border patrol operations and the monitoring of critical infrastructure.

AUG’ core technologies – registration, fusion, detection, classification & identification, change detection and tracking – manipulate data coming in from multi-source military intelligence data streams so as to provide the command centre with coherent, comprehensive and accurate situation assessment and facilitate tracking of various objects and disturbances – from foreign ships and submarines to land use changes and other activities associated with IED system of supply and deployment, enemy targets, etc.

AUG offers a variety of products and services that enhance ISR capabilities on a strategic, operational and tactical levels, and provide command centres with the most accurate information that reduces target uncertainty and enhances decision making – all in real or near real-time.

Dr. George Lampropoulos, President & CEO of AUG Signals, was invited to the Canadian Defence Military Institute (CDMI) Gala Dinner by the Never Forgotten National Memorial Foundation on November 19, 2014. It was a great opportunity to listen to the keynote speaker, Chief of Defence Staff General T.J. Lawson, who previously worked on his M.Sc. thesis with Dr. Lampropoulos.

AUG Signals’ TRITON™ -intelligent online water quality monitoring system- was covered in the Chinese media recently for providing successful real-time drinking water protection at the 2014 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). During this event, AUG worked with the Beijing Health Bureau and the Huairou Health Bureau to build a customized solution specific to Chinese national drinking water regulations. TRITON provided 24/7 real-time protection of the drinking water and protected the delegations at the summit from any potential safety threats. AUG is pleased with TRITON’s recent success and confirmation of the system’s proven capability as a powerful decision-making tool that protects both people and the environment.
